924 YK Jazhardan, the bastard son of pirate captain Mirenal of the She-Host, is born in Port Krez, Lhazaard Principalities.
936 YK Captain Mirenal is slain and her ship Ghostwind is burned by rival pirates. Jazhardan is taken as a captive and is later sold to slavery.
937 YK Sadistic half-orc Slavemaster Thilan sells Jazhardan to House Phiarlan. Jazhardan is shipped to Stonespur Island and begins his training.
938 YK After a harsh spy training cource, young Jazhardan is transferred to Karrnath. His services as a spy are sold by House Phiarlan to the Karrnathi. He is sent to spy Cyre. He is now known as officially as Jazhardan d’Phiarlan.
939 YK Jazhardan kills Lord General Gevon ir’Douran as part of his mission in Cyre. It is the first time he kills a man. As a concequence the Karnathi wins the Battle of Aron and gain first solid foothold on Cyre. Jazhardan is now 15 years old.
940 - 947 YK Jazhardan works for Karrnathi agains Cyre and Thrane as a House Phiarlan spy/assassin.
948 YK For the first time Jazhardan meets Alianor d’Thuranni, and falls in love. Alianor denies him, she laughs to the low ranking assassin. Her father is one of the main figures in the House Phiarlan.
949 to 957 YK Ministry of Treasury in Karrnath falls behind scheduled payments to the House Phiarlan. Jazhardan’s services are sold to Thrane, however his paid enemy remains and is still the nation Cyre. During this period Jazhardan meets Alianor twice, and is twice denied.
957 YK Jazhardan infiltrates the Court of Cyre. His disguise is a scribe for the Ministry of War in Cyre. He continues to serve House Phiarlan in this position until 970 YK. The secrets he unfolds are sold to the highest bidder.
970 YK Jazhardan meet Alianor, again this time in Cyre. The young man finally manages to charm the heir of important lord of house Phiarlan. For three months the two live in the capital and exchange raven feathers - magical items attuned to their owners.
972 YK Jazhardan is betrayed by a member of the House Phiarlan and captured by Cyrian forces. He is held in a secret underground prison complex. In the prison his only possession - the magical raven feather turns red indicating the death of Alianor d’Thuranni. Maddened by grief, Jazhardan makes his escape from the dungeons. He returns to House Phiarlan seeking revenge, only to find the entire Dragonmarked House in internal warfare. The House Thuranni is separated from the House Phiarlan. Jazhardan does not find a place for him in either house and travels to the Shadowfell to seek the soul of Alianor. He ceases to use name Jazhardan.
973 - 997 YK The years Raven is in the gloom of Shadowfell. For years he seeks Alianor - and in a way finally finds her. The trail ends where the shadowfell ends. Her soul has passed the shadowfell in to the astral planes where the gods dwell. The essential aid in his quest came from a strange man Raven met three times in the Shadowfell. This man is Lord Kor ir’Wynarn, the High Commander of King’s Citadel. Raven swears to return the favor out of personal loyality.
998 YK Raven returns to Khorvaire and secretly enlists King Citadel in Breland. He is now a Dark Lantern. However, part of his soul is forever bound to the Shadowfell and the shadows of the dead will never leave him.
